General Medicine

General Medicine is the backbone of any hospital and is a key department among all clinical specialties. The department works with a vision of serving all sorts of patients with multitude of medical ailments.  The doctors’ work tirelessly thoroughly examining the patients, eliciting medical history, to provide the most dedicated patient counselling and care and refer them to various specialists as may be required.

Five senior, experienced doctors and consultants who specialize in general medicine, cardiology, diabetes, kidney and liver and other diseases that affect the human body visit the MGMC and attend to 75-100 patients every day. Our most senior doctor, who is the also the Medical Director of MGMC is a ‘multi-specialty’ with over 50 years of experience in the army and in various private hospitals of Delhi. He is one of the best known Diabetologists.

Routine check-up and treatment of school children of the Mata Gujri Public School is also done @ MGMC.

Commonly used medicines are prescribed and dispensed free of cost at MGMC.

Various Lab tests of blood, urine, etc that may be required are recommended by the concerned specialists/ doctors to Lab in the MGMC. However, tests such as MRI, COVID which cannot be done in MGMC for lack of equipment are referred to outside sources at concessional rates. MGMC has recently been equipped with a CT-Scan facility.

Vaccination against Rabies (Inj Rabipur) is given to patients as required free of cost.  Seasonal vaccinations are also recommended.

Medical Camps are organized whenever possible @ MGMC in consultation with the Medical Director.
